Hughes Mushrooms

"Aiming to be the UK's leading and
most innovative mushrooms supplier?"

Hughes Mushrooms formed as a result of a decision to close Trew & Moy railway station in 1964. The station was an important link for local mushroom growers to supply the English and Scottish markets with their produce. .

The station master at the time Kevin Hughes put his experience to good use and purchased a small lorry to offer the growers an alternative means of transport.
